Nearing Product Launch, Company Appoints Dr. Amit Jain as Chief Scientist

BOISE, Idaho - January 21, 2007 - Balihoo Inc., a company that is developing a groundbreaking web-based solution for the advertising industry, today announced that it has teamed with Boise State professor, Dr. Amit Jain, computer science faculty in the College of Engineering, to help design and scale the evolution of its product.

Balihoo plans its Beta release in February 2007 and is planning for full market release in mid-2007.  In anticipation of its product release, the company is continuing its investment in technology research and development and overall scalability of its web-based solution. The partnership established with Dr. Jain highlights Balihoo's commitment to building a world-class product as well as its dedication to building strong ties with Boise State and the greater Boise community.

"We are pleased to have Dr. Jain associated with our company.  He is a great addition to our team and brings with him an incredible depth of technology expertise and vision that are very relevant to our solution.  His expertise in scalable architecture design, web technologies, and advanced computing will ultimately be a boon to our user base," said Pete Gombert, Chief Executive Officer at Balihoo.  "Further, we're excited to integrate with Boise State University and be able to work with its highly talented College of Engineering.  We have hired a significant number of BSU graduates and interns and have been incredibly pleased with the results."

Dr. Jain, who is known for his work in the areas of parallel computing systems and languages, system/hardware software architecture, and implementation of parallel algorithms, will work in a part-time capacity with Balihoo in addition to his research efforts and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses at Boise State.   Dr. Jain holds his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida and his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.

"Dr. Jain's expertise united with Balihoo's creative culture illustrates the unique opportunities that exist when strong engineering programs and high technology companies partner," said Cheryl Schrader, dean of the College of Engineering at Boise State.  "The Treasure Valley is sure to produce the next generation of innovation leaders!"

The Balihoo product will be available to a limited number of Beta users in February 2007.  Currently there are over 30 significant media and advertising companies involved in the Beta program representing over $25Billion of US media spend.  The company has grown five-fold in the last year and will continue to look for the best software development and media talent for its Boise location.
